Core Paths Plans
Local Authorities are legally obliged, under Section 17 of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003, to draw up a system of paths, which are sufficient to provide the public with reasonable access throughout the area. The Council must develop the draft Core Paths Plan by February 2008, which equates to three years after the implementation of the Act.
